Samba Fogo Community Group is a community performing arts group based in Salt Lake City, Utah. Samba Fogo Community Group offers participants the chance to meet new people, tap into a strong and nurturing supports system, learn new skills, and play music and dance with fellow community members. Samba Fogo performers and touring drummers are drawn predominately from our Community Group.

HOW TO JOIN: Drummers - if you are interested in getting involved with Samba Fogo, please attend our next Drummer Training Workshop. Workshop attendees are provided with helpful information including access to instructional videos, audio, and notation. We are always looking for new drummers, so we encourage you to get involved! New dancers who want to join the group are encouraged to attend our Afro-Brazilian Dance Class Thursdays 6:30-8:00pm at Utah Arts Alliance. Samba Fogo holds dance auditions once per year, usually in the early Spring. Drum students and Drummer Training Workshop attendees can request to take our performer’s test at any time.
