Patricia

From Mexico City and raised in Salt Lake City, Patricia Calzado Real has been passionate about dance from a young age. She has been part of several dance groups throughout her life, exploring and learning from different cultures and traditions. Her experience includes contemporary dance, salsa, bachata, and she is currently a member of the Mexican folklorico group Danza y Color and Samba Fogo in Salt Lake City. Through movement, Patricia embraces her Mexican roots, builds community, and has just so much fun. She is proud to debut her very first solo performance at Samba Queen and is grateful to the Samba tradition for helping her feel grounded, present, and confidently herself. .
